Should I Move into My Basement?

I used to live in my basement and loved it. You just need to put some cheap insulation material on the ceiling if it's bare and paint everything in nice colors. I had my bed, desk, a gas fireplace and it was super cozy. Nicest place I've ever lived. Cool in the summer, warm in the winter. The things you need around you you can move down as you need them, and it has the added plus of the upstairs areas all staying clean and presentable for guests. The only bad thing for me was my dog got older and couldn't do the stairs, so I moved back up to be with her. ;) All yours cons can be easily fixed. Move your clothes down into a nice armoire, get it used. Buy a comfy twin bed. Paint things and decorate like a home. Washers and dryers don't run that often... Move what you need down with you. If you live in the basement you won't need much air conditioning.... plus I planted little window garden beds. I put money plants outside one windows, and they dry and rustle in the autumn. Very pretty...
