Girlfriend wants a break. advice?

ok so i'm a bit confused at the moment so here goes. i've been with my girlfriend since april when we started our freshmen year of college. and we've always seen each other over break as we're only 20 mins away. so for the first week of july shes vacationing in disney with her family and told me she wanted a break the first night shes staying there. i saw her the day before she left and we had a nice day together and kissed her goodbye. she texted that "i've never fought with someone as much as you and we should take a break to see if we should be together." and the last time we had a major fight was in the beginning of june. i don't understand why she wants this after having such a good week before she left. any advice people?
