What's more touristy and noisy - Albufeira or Portim�o?

I don't want a touristy town to go on holiday to, so what is more of a noisy, touristy town, full of bars with neon signs etc. lol... and what is a nicer place to visit for a week altogether? - don't get me wrong, I don't want a dead quiet place, but I don't want one that is just full of bars with chart music blaring out and sells fish 'n' chips lol! Also, which is more built up, like a small city? I'd like that, as long as it's not too touristy!
